Skin manifestations

Question: How does appear solid chancre?

F.G.

The answer: Pale treponema, falling into the so-called portal of entry (micro-injury on the sex organs), begins actively to be multiplied, further on the lymphatic vessels it penetrates the regional lymph nodes, and then into the general blood flow. In 3 - 4 weeks (see incubative period) on the spot of the entry of infection appears the earliest clinical sign - solid chancre. The primary period of syphillis begins from this point on.

  • 4. RIT.

Innate syphillis

Question:Are such the signs of late innate syphillis?

L.S.

The answer:

The first symptoms of syphillis are manifested in children 5 - 6 years, most frequently in the period of sexual ripening. The most typical signs - deformations of the bones of shins, which are evinced by thickening with the bend by their convexity forward ("saber-shaped shins"), the perforation of the hard palate, the destruction of the bones of skull.

The dystrophia of the teeth also is observed: the crescent-shaped grooves of upper constant teeth, especially both front cutters, and a certain rounding it is lateral (elliptoid teeth). Frequently are noted the diseases of eyes (parenchymatous keratitis) and organs of hearing - deafness. The symptoms of syphillis (dystrophia of teeth, keratitis and deafness) are the very pathognomonic sign of late tertiary syphillis.

Furthermore, are characteristic general dystrophias, dementia, convulsive fits and even paralyses. In the case of absence and even inferiority of the treatment of women, who have late innate syphillis, they can transmit infection to their posterity, i.e. already to the second generation.
